Description
The Ethiopia – Fahem – Mixed Heirloom – Natural Process Arabica is an expressive Ethiopian specialty coffee from the Fahem Estate, located in the Guji region in the south of the country. Ethiopia is considered the birthplace of Arabica coffee, and this coffee is a beautiful example of that heritage. At an altitude of 1,900 to 2,200 meters above sea level, the coffee cherries are grown in a rich microclimate, surrounded by native vegetation and with respect for tradition and biodiversity.
The beans come from mixed heirloom varieties – locally adapted, genetically diverse Arabica plants that provide a complex and vibrant taste experience. The coffee is naturally processed: the whole cherries are sun-dried on raised beds, giving the beans intense fruitiness, extra body, and a pleasant sweetness.
The Fahem Estate combines traditional knowledge with modern techniques to consistently achieve high cupping scores. The natural processing and careful selection result in a coffee with a distinctive character, aromatic depth, and a pleasing balance between sweetness and freshness.
