An Huys

An Huys is co-owner and Operations Manager at The Last Bean and part of the leadership team. She brings a unique combination of sensory skills and creativity to the heart of the organization.
Born in Antwerp in 1976, An graduated from the Mariecolen Institute in the field of exhibition design and decoration. After a short creative period in the art world working with papier-mâché, she built experience both in hospitality and in international companies such as Philips and PepsiCo.
In 2007, she founded her own cleaning company in Knokke-Heist and began her journey as an independent entrepreneur, further developing her sense of quality, structure, and customer focus. Today, she applies that experience – along with strong people management skills – at The Last Bean, where, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for coffee, she oversees daily coffee evaluation and quality control of the roastery.
Alongside her professional role, An is also the mother of three children, which further strengthens her ability in multitasking, organization, and caring leadership. She also shares her life with a cheerful Pomeranian who reminds her daily of the importance of movement – something that perfectly matches her interest in running, swimming, skiing, fitness, and drawing.
With her people-oriented approach and hands-on mentality, An is a vital compass within the team of The Last Bean.
