AA - Kiambara

Description

The Kenya Kiambara Washed Arabica AA Top is a premium specialty coffee from the Nyeri region in the heart of the Mount Kenya range. This coffee is renowned worldwide for its bright acidity, complex layers of flavor and its exceptional quality, as reflected in the AA classification – the highest size and quality grade for Kenyan coffee beans.

Origin: Kiambara Factory, Nyeri County

This coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who are members of the Rutuma Farmers Cooperative Society. The Kiambara washing station (factory) sits at an altitude of about 1,700 to 1,900 meters, allowing the coffee cherries to ripen slowly and develop optimal flavors.
The soil in Nyeri is rich in volcanic minerals, and combined with the cool highland climate, this terroir excels at producing clean, aromatic coffees.

Processing method: Washed

The beans are traditionally washed processed Kenyan style, resulting in a clean and expressive cup. The fermentation process and drying on raised beds ensure precision and clarity of flavor, while preserving the fruity and floral notes.
